Overview

Gazing out toward the Bay, you’ll see a towering sculpture of a woman who seems to be made of light and air. This is R-Evolution, a masterpiece of engineering and art that first debuted at Burning Man. The sculpture is constructed from stainless steel mesh, making her appear transparent by day and allowing her to glow from within at night with dynamic, colorful LEDs.

The artist created R-Evolution as the final piece in a trilogy of sculptures called The Bliss Project.

The sculpture is 45 feet tall and has 23-foot diameter base. The statue and base weigh 16,000 pounds, with an additional 16,000 pounds from the steel anchoring plates.
